Master Study.

This is a fairly rough study from one of my favorite painters Jeremy Geddes. This was just an 8x8in oil on canvas quick 1hr warm up sketch to get things flowin. Photographing dark paintings is a battle in and of itself, but oh well.

Retrospective.

Throwback work from when I took painting 2. This was the final project, 6x4' made and prepped the panel myself. It's fun to go large and experimental sometimes.

Insight.

I use primarily the medium of oil paint to better understand myself and my surroundings. The subject matter, tools used, and even palette choice change based on the time and space in which I find study. By approaching painting with both classic and modern motives of depiction, I hope to expand my knowledge, improve articulation, and captivate a diverse audience.

I finished a (different) painting tonight, so I deserved a treat in the form of this 1hr 30min study. 8x10" oil on panel rough primed.
